How long does it take to get a security guard visa in Dubai?
You need to be in Dubai to get a security guard visa, as you cannot get the necessary training and license from your home country. To work for any security company in Dubai, you need a license from SIRA. You can get this license either personally or through a company sponsor. You can apply even if you are on a visit visa.
Once you get your SIRA license in Dubai, you should send your CV and job application to the top security companies in Dubai. It may take a while to get a response, but you should stay patient and persistent.
After you land a security job in Dubai, the employer will apply for a residence visa for you. You can expect to get your resident visa from the Department of Labor in 7-10 days.
The next step is to pass your medical fitness test. You can do your medical test at the nearest authorized medical center. Most applicants (99%) pass the test, but if you fail, your company will handle it later.
Finally, you need to apply for an Emirates ID card. It will be delivered to your home address by courier or to the nearest post office in 2 to 3 weeks.
The whole process of getting a security visa in Dubai may take you 2 to 3 months.

Some of the most common security guard jobs in Dubai are with G4S, Transguard, Emirates, Securiguard Middle East, Securitas, World Security and Spark Security. All these companies require you to have a valid SIRA license and a UAE driving license is an advantage.
